As an answer to fans’ requests for more of “all things Amish” after enjoying the plentitude of Amish fiction titles on the market, a new community has launched at www.AmishLiving.com. Here, fans gather to share opinions and recommend favorite Amish novels, and also to find recipes, products like quilts and furniture, and advice on planning a trip to Amish country. The site regularly offers book giveaways.

With helpful links to many vendors, event listings, information directories, and blogs, the community also includes member-generated forums designed to spark conversations and groups to join based on members’ locations. Members are encouraged to interact with each other, including several prominent novelists who contribute expert knowledge from their research of the Amish people and seek fan feedback for their upcoming titles. The community’s open membership allows all those who love Amish culture, including authors who write for any publishing house, to get involved in the conversations online.
Bonus! Here's how you can win a copy of the book An Amish Gathering, which features 3 novellas by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller & Barbara Cameron (courtesy of our friends at Thomas Nelson).
Anyone who joins the AmishLiving.com community and then comments back here (letting us know that you’ve joined) will be eligible for the giveaway. We will draw the winner from the comment submissions February 6th.
I joined the AmishLiving.com community and would love to win the books!
ReplyDeleteI live near the Amish community and would love to read these books
ReplyDeleteI joined the AmishLiving.com community. I'm excited about this new website! It's truly amazing how I was just wanting to find out more about a homeschooler(C.J.Darlington) who had written a book (we are a homeschooling family) and discovered TitleTrakk. Now, I've discovered an Amish themed website through TitleTrakk! I really enjoy reading Amish themed books because they are so clean. Many of the authors write so well that I feel as though I am right there with the characters!
ReplyDeleteHi,

I have another julismom at a different domain for private matters. While I no longer sell avon because of health, I will never quit being my juli's mom!

ReplyDeleteHave joined the Amish Community. My daughter who moved to Morrisville, PA after her marriage in 1986 introduced me to Amish literature and have alwasy enjoyed it. Although my family is not Amish I grew up living a simple life at least compared to the lives my grandaughters live today. My real worry for my grandaughters is that in the complicated world in which they live they will never know the pleasures and joys of a simple life lived well. So many of my memories carry the patina of simplicity and gentility that todays cyberworld lacks. What a pity.
ReplyDeleteI signed up at Amish Living. Thanks.
