New Realms fiction novels

Two new novels coming from Realms Fiction.

The first, Vanished, by Kathryn Mackel is described thus:

When a terrorist bombing and rogue experiment "displace" an entire community, police sergeant Jason Logan must keep order. As the rubble settles from a second explosion, the people find themselves in a primal land where nightmares take form, monsters roam, and demons battle angels. Can they prevail against enemies they've always known---and forces never imagined?

The second, Angel, by Alton Gansky has this summary:

Only investigative reporter Priscilla Simms doubts the prophetic message of a mysterious stranger named Aster who appears after a California earthquake. Miracles happen and wisdom flows from his lips. Politicians, religious leaders, and scientists are ready to listen. But is he too good to be believed? And what will Priscilla's search for the truth cost her?

New Julie Carobini novel coming in 2008

Julie has just unveiled the cover of her next novel, Truffles by the Sea, at her website. Scheduled for a February 2008 release by Bethany House Publishers, it's a sequel to her popular Chocolate Beach (which has sold over 21,000 copies).

Truffles by the Sea

After a series of near catastrophes, Gaby Flores adopts a new motto: Be gullible no more! She takes this motto to heart by pooh-poohing the gossip du jour in her new neighborhood. But what happens when the neighborhood blather turns to news about her?

A seal pup on the dock of her waterside rental, the mysterious appearance of seashells, two potential romances, and the eviction of her fledgling business all make great fodder for the neighborhood chatterboxes.

But with all the hearsay and innuendo encircling her, Gaby starts believing her own bad press, and crawls into a protective shell of her own.

Can Gaby quiet the accusing voices in her head long enough to discover the riches in store for her?

Read our review of Chocolate Beach here.

The Restorer's Son by Sharon Hinck

Following on the heels of Hinck's groundbreaking fantasy novel The Restorer is Book #2 in the Sword of Lyric series, The Restorer's Son. Scheduled for a fall release, from the looks of the cover it's sure to be another great read.

The Pawn by Steven James

An interesting new series is coming in September from Revell. The Pawn is Book #1 in the Bower Files by Steven James.

Summary:

Special Agent Patrick Bowers had only met one man who made him truly afraid. Until now. When he's called to North Carolina to consult on the case of an area serial killer, he finds himself in a deadly game.

Cunning and lethal, the killer is always one step ahead of the law, and he's about to strike again. It will take all of Bowers's instincts and training to stop this man who calls himself the Illusionist. And just when the pieces start to come together, Bowers realizes they're not quite adding up. Can he unravel the pattern and save the next victim? Or will the Illusionist win the game by taking one of his opponent's pieces? Thrilling, chilling, and impossible to put down, The Pawn will hold suspense lovers in its iron grip until the very last page.
